Designcraft was founded in 2001 and specialises in composite engineering. The company employs a small team of skilled engineers and technicians and has a fully equipped workshop with CAD support. The core business is undertaking research and product development for the wind turbine and marine industries.

Resin Infusion
This is the process by which resin is bled into dry laminate under vacuum. Designcraft have developed systems for infusing large and complex structures and now use infusion for 90% of all projects.

Wind Tunnel Fan Blades / Models
Designcraft manufacture wind - tunnel fan blades and test models.

Wind Energy
Designcraft have worked with Vestas Blades UK Ltd on large scale wind turbine blades. Designcraft have built tools to produce blades up to 49m and numerous structural test specimens, together with prototypes for small scale wind turbine projects.

Marine
Designcraft have built a number of hydrofoils and fins for high speed craft, built in carbon in CNC machined molds for strength and stability under load.
Other Projects include 30' trimaram currently in build, high temperature mold tooling for Olympic rowing four (Eton Racing Boats) and components for the speed boat sailing contender "Sail Rocket"
